Woman Wears Hoodie During Public Service

In what appears to be quite the unconventional sentence, a Pennsylvania woman was seen wearing a hoodie as she held a sign describing her latest criminal act outside of a courthouse. Doing so apparently relieved her of any jail time she might have spent.

35-year-old Tina Griekspoor stood outside a Pennsylvania courthouse for four-and-a-half hours on Tuesday. The woman admitted to stealing a giftcard from a nine-year-old child after she left it on a shelf in a Wal-Mart store.

Because of her willingness to hold the sign, Griekspoor will simply be put on probation. Cruel and/or unusual? You decide.
